Steven R. Gill is an Ohio property tax attorney and partner at SDG Legal. He represents property owners, developers, and brokers in complex property tax litigation and appeals across Ohio, with a practice focused exclusively on state and local property tax matters.

Steve has more than three decades of experience handling property tax matters in all 88 Ohio counties and in jurisdictions throughout the country. He regularly represents taxpayers in valuation disputes, assessment challenges, and appeals before county boards of revision, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, and Ohio courts.
His practice includes litigation at all levels of the Ohio judicial system, including matters before the Ohio Supreme Court. Steve has been involved in numerous appellate cases that established favorable precedent for Ohio taxpayers and is widely recognized for his practical, results-driven approach to property tax strategy.

Steve earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1991. He is especially proud of receiving the Gold Star Recipient award from Safety Town in 1971.

Steve volunteers his time assisting non-profit organizations with tax exemption matters. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, attending the theatre, and frequently attending concerts at Playhouse Square and Severance Hall.
