Elizabeth A. Taylor, Esq. – Property Tax Attorney

For the first 30+ years of her career, Beth devoted her practice exclusively to the representation of Ohio’s public boards of education, primarily in property tax matters before Ohio boards of revision, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, and Ohio courts.  In January 2023, she joined Sleggs, Danzinger & Gill Co., L.P.A. as their first associate attorney.  Here at SDG, Beth attends hearings, prepares and files tax exempt applications, drafts pleadings and other legal documents, assists in litigation, and advises clients regarding questions on the valuation and taxation of their properties.

Recent Speaking Engagements/Authorships:

As a board of education attorney, Beth frequently spoke to educators and administrators at various seminars on a wide variety of topics that impacted Ohio’s school boards, including student suspension and expulsion issues, property tax valuation complaints and Title IX.  Since joining SDG, Beth has authored several articles on the topic of H.B. 126 and the property tax valuation complaint process. 

Education:

Beth earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College in 1988. (Go Bobcats!)  She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law in 1991.

More About Beth:

Beth is an active member of the Cuyahoga Falls Church of the Nazarene, where she assists in various outreach ministries and volunteer activities in the community.   She has also served as a member of the District Advisory Board for the Northeast Ohio District Church of the Nazarene and as a hospice volunteer for National Church Residences.  Outside the office, you will frequently find her enjoying time with her family and her dogs, or with her nose in a good book.  She also likes to travel, spend time at the beach and visit with friends.  Beth’s favorite days are the ones spent with her beautiful grandchildren.
